The Manitowoc Ice IDT0900W Indigo NXT™ ice maker is designed to make large dice ice—a square cube that melts slowly to water down drinks to a lesser extent than half-size or pellet ice. Each piece measures 7/8 inches on every side, and to ensure consistency, a sensor probe measures the cubes before harvesting. Over a 24-hour period, this unit produces as much as 780 pounds of ice in ideal operating conditions. The DuraTech™ exterior resists corrosion and features a clear coat that hides fingerprints and smudges.

This Manitowoc Ice IDT0900W ice machine can be programmed with the easyTouch® display. Users can input a daily production goal on this screen or restrict operation to certain hours of the day. The system will constantly monitor the machine for potential issues, and it can alert users if it finds a problem or when it is time for cleaning.

To access the foodzone where ice is made, users can swing open the front panel and remove the distribution tube, water trough, curtain, and sensor probe. Each of these parts can be cleaned separately before they're returned to the unit, and several of the foodzone components feature AlphaSan® protection to slow mold growth and help prevent slime from forming.
