The Manitowoc IDT1500N Indigo NXT™ ice maker head is a remote-cooled system and requires the separate purchase of a remote condensing unit. An acoustical ice-sensing probe ensures that ice is only dispensed from the ice maker into a bin when it has reached the correct thickness. Ice production frequency can be adjusted through programmable settings. Its maximum dice-size ice cube production within 24 hours is 1,675 pounds; it'll produce closer to 1,450 pounds of ice per 24 hours. Components that touch water are made with an AlphaSan® antimicrobial agent that prevents bacteria growth. This machine's exterior has a DuraTech® clear coat over stainless steel to hide dirt and fingerprints.

A front door on the Manitowoc IDT1500N ice machine head swings open for full access to remove the water trough, distribution tube, curtain, and sensing probes for in-depth interior cleaning. Users can manage general maintenance and ice production with the easyTouch® display, which is a touchscreen control panel located on the unit's front. Its 48-inch-wide by 24-inch-deep by 29.5-inch-high frame fits best on a D970 ice storage bin, which is sold separately.

Note: This unit must be paired with an ice maker bin or ice dispenser.
