Depending on ambient and incoming water temperatures, the Manitowoc Ice IDT1500W 261 Indigo® NXT™ ice machine head produces 1,390 to 1,615 pounds of full-cube ice in 24 hours. If users want to program the production rate, they can adjust it based on ice volume or time of day. The acoustical sensing probe measures ice thickness to ensure each cycle is consistent, while the DuraTech® coating hides fingerprints and resists corrosion for long-term durability. To slow bacterial growth between cleanings, some foodzone components are treated with the AlphaSan® antimicrobial agent. For additional support, preventive maintenance provides daily diagnostic feedback.

To manage temperature and production, users can navigate the controls on the Manitowoc Ice IDT1500W 261 ice maker head's easyTouch® display. A hinged front door opens to the full-access foodzone, which features a removable water trough, distribution tube, curtain, and sensing probes for cleaning and general maintenance. This 48-inch-wide by 24-inch-deep by 291⁄2-inch-high unit should be attached to a separately sold Manitowoc Ice D970 ice storage bin for additional convenience.
