The Manitowoc Ice IYT0900N Indigo NXT™ series ice machine head features an easyTouch® digital display that provides access to the various programable settings for things such as reminders, alerts, and production. Said production can be altered based on time of day and weight. For an establishment with an ambient air temperature of 70 degrees and an incoming water temperature of 50 degrees Fahrenheit, the unit can produce 837 pounds of ice in 24 hours. However, these ideal conditions are rare; under more common conditions, the unit is more likely to produce about 731 pounds per 24 hours.

Externally, the Manitowoc Ice IYT0900N ice machine is coated in DuraTech™, a material more resistant to corrosion and smudging than stainless steel. Internally, the machine is fitted with several removable components and some molded with AlphaSan® to make simplify cleaning and maintenance. The unit produces half-sized ice cubes, a popular size ideal for sodas and iced tea. It uses remote cooling to remove heat from the system to make ice, so a separate condenser and refrigerant lines are required for operation.
