The True GDM-12F-HC~TSL01 one-section display freezer is a compact solution for storing and displaying popular frozen items. Its refrigeration system uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to hold temperatures at -10 degrees Fahrenheit, which is ideal for storing and displaying frozen meals, ice cream, and more. The evaporator fan motor and large fan blades provide high-volume airflow that results in cold holding temperatures and fast temperature recovery.

An automatic defrost system melts built-up ice to ensure the refrigeration system is operating properly. Defrost cycles start based on a timer and end when the temperature is at an ideal level. Since the condensing unit is mounted on the bottom of the cabinet, cleaning and maintaining are simple. The bottom-mounted placement also creates a non-stoop lower shelf that helps keep products visible for customers. Upon start up, the compressor's fan motor runs in reverse mode for 20 seconds to blow debris and dust off the condensing coil. Because the coil is cleaned automatically, the unit runs more efficiently and reduces energy consumption compared to systems with dirty parts. Although this self-cleaning feature is designed to prolong the unit's lifespan, it doesn't replace the need for routine cleaning and maintenance.

The True GDM-12F-HC~TSL01 one-section freezer merchandiser has a self-closing swinging door with a strong seal, torsion-type closure system. Since this door is thermal insulated, cold air stays inside the cabinet. A 12-inch-long integrated handle helps with opening the door, especially when loading the cabinet. Magnetic door gaskets keep cold air from escaping the cabinet, and they can be removed for cleaning and replacing. The cabinet has three PVC-coated wire shelves that are adjustable on 1⁄2-inch increments to accommodate various product heights. Four chrome-plated shelf clips are included per shelf.
