The True TUC-27F-HC undercounter freezer has an extra-large evaporator balanced with a powerful compressor and large condenser, meaning it can reliably maintain cabinet temperatures of -10 degrees Fahrenheit, an ideal level for frozen foods and ice cream. Its capillary tube system is self-contained, factory engineered, and uses environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Starting and stopping on a time clock, its defrost system is automatic.

This refrigerator has an evaporator fan motor with a sealed, self-lubricating design, which reduces the amount of required maintenance. Its large fan blades provide efficient airflow, fast temperature recovery, and short run times for busy food service environments. To ensure the condensing coil is performing at maximum efficiency, the condensing fan motor blows in reverse for 20 seconds when the compressor cycles on, removing buildup that's settled on the coil. A cleaner coil uses less energy and increases unit lifespan, but preventive maintenance should still be carried out regularly to monitor coil operation.

To simplify maintaining the undercounter’s condensing unit, the back of the cabinet slides out. So it can fit under most counters, the True TUC-27F-HC undercounter freezer has an ADA-compliant 33 11⁄16-inch height. Its door is self-closing and seals shut with a gasket in the frame.
