It has a time-initiated, time-terminated automatic defrost system, and because the evaporator and condenser fan motors are electronically commutated, they move a consistent volume of air while reducing heat production and energy use. So it is short enough to fit under a counter, this unit measures 36 inches in height.

This True TUC-27F-HC~SPEC1 undercounter freezer has a factory-balanced refrigeration system that maintains -10 degrees Fahrenheit, ideal for frozen foods and ice cream. Environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant runs through the self-contained, capillary tube system. Sliding out for maintenance, the condensing unit is located in the back of the cabinet.

Though it shouldn't replace preventive maintenance, reverse condensing fan motor technology helps clean off the condensing coil. The fan automatically blows in reverse for 20 seconds when the compressor is turned on, eliminating debris from the coil. This mechanism help improve overall coil function, and it can even help increase the unit's lifespan.
