The forced-air refrigeration system on the True TUC-60-32F-HC~SPEC1 Spec Series® undercounter freezer operates at a temperature of -10 degrees Fahrenheit, using a self-contained capillary tube system with R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to remove heat from the air. Then, airflow is guided through the interior to provide uniform product temperatures. Producing less heat than earlier models, the electronically commutated evaporator and condenser fan motors move more consistent air volumes.

To lengthen the unit's lifespan, the condensing fan motor blows in a reverse direction to eliminate settled dust and debris from the condensing coil's surface. This mechanism helps the coil operate more efficiently by using less energy while cooling products. Though effective, it shouldn't replace carrying out preventive maintenance regularly.

This TUC-60-32F-HC~SPEC1 deep undercounter freezer uses sheet metal interlocks to attach 12-inch-long handles to each door, ensuring permanence. To match the cabinet, doors have white aluminum liner and a stainless steel exterior. Gaskets help create a positive seal around the doors, and they are magnetic to provide tool-free removal and simplify cleaning. Inside, stored product is supported by four wire shelves, each of which includes four chrome-plated shelf clips for adjustments in 1⁄2-inch increments. Shelf support pilasters and the cabinet interior are constructed of the same material to match each other.
