The Manitowoc Ice IDT0900W/SPA312 ice maker and dispenser creates ice by spraying water upwards onto the evaporator grid. As the water begins to freeze, sediment and dirt falls down to ensure clean, clear ice. This ice freezes into 7/8-inch cubes, and once they reach the right size, they slide off the grid and into the dispenser below, which has enough room for 180 pounds of ice. To accommodate buckets and large containers, the large dispensing area has a big drain pan. Preventing accidental overflow, its dispenser lever is sensitive to pressure.

Using the easyTouch® screen, operators can control the Manitowoc Ice IDT0900W/SPA312 ice machine and dispenser's ice production, such as the daily production volume and operating hours to match what's needed or view maintenance and cleaning reminders. When it's time to clean the ice machine, the ice-making area is accessible through the hinged panel on the front. Inside, several components are protected by the antimicrobial agent AlphaSan®, and some parts can be removed for cleaning separately.
